The 8070 Ramzan Package 2026 is a welfare initiative of the Punjab Government led by Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif. It builds on the Punjab Nigehban Ramzan Package 2026, also known as the Nigehban Ramzan Relief Package and Ramzan Relief Package 2026. The program is designed to provide social welfare, social protection, economic support, and financial assistance to low-income families, deserving households, and vulnerable communities during the holy month of Ramadan 2026.

Pakistan's Prime Minister announces a new economic package aimed at boosting the country's financial stability and growth.

Due to inflation, rising food prices, and increasing daily expenses, many families face serious financial challenges during Ramadan. To address food security and essential needs, this package focuses on ration support, direct ration delivery, and cash flexibility. The initiative ensures that struggling households receive timely assistance to meet their economic needs in this month of blessings.

The Ramzan Package uses Nigehban data and is integrated with the Punjab Socio-Economic Registry (PSER) to identify eligible beneficiaries. Support is provided through government relief programs with expanded coverage, automatic consideration, and priority for deserving families. Eligibility and registration are based on CNIC verification, digital cards, monthly subsidized rations, CM Punjab Ration Card, and Rashan Card systems.

To make the process easier, the Punjab Government has introduced SMS verification, online checking, and digital verification methods. This reduces long queues, minimizes visits to government offices, and improves ease of access while maintaining transparency, dignity, privacy, and independence. Door-to-door ration delivery further ensures immediate support for families in need.

Planning for the 8070 Ramzan Package 2026 began in mid-January 2026, with official announcements expected to continue through April and May 2026. Based on previous editions, distribution is anticipated around late February or early March, depending on moon sighting. Past Ramzan packages successfully supported over 3 million families with a budget of approximately Rs 30 billion, setting strong expectations for this year’s relief program.
